Happy Weekend! It feels more like Groundhog Day than New Years because yet again I find myself making a weekly pot of vegetable soup in a half hearted attempt to take off weight because yet another Spring and Summer is looming close at hand! Oh well, at least I haven't given up on me yet, right? I am going to sound like a corny old Ronco "as seen on TV!" commercial now, but I was recently introduced to a Salad Shooter and I can't imagine how I lived all those years without one! Did you know they grate cheese? Lickety split! That was the first reason I bought it (okay--I hear one of you out there; "Maybe if you used less grated cheese you'd have less weight to lose!") Anyway, I'd say it cut these three carrots in 4 seconds
And the celery, onion, zucchini, bell pepper in maybe 90 seconds, only because I changed the blade twice.
Incredible! Do you have one already? You should!
When I was in the CA Central Valley visiting my mom during the holidays she took me out to an antique store we've been visiting for as long as I can remember. By The Water Tower in Exeter. Her talented friend Lois has a booth there and she has been putting these fab tables together. If you ever get lucky and hit a jackpot of old printers letters, you might want to make something like this.
Pretty groovy, huh? I am going to Pin them as (very) Clever!
Salad shooter? Do they still make those! Anyway, I'm convinced because I HATE making salad because I HATE all that chopping. Basically I'm a lazy sloth when it comes to cooking. Thanks for the tip, cause I need it. Menopause sucks cause my metabolism has left the building :-<
Anyway, Happy New Year!
