Today we took two of the grandkids to see the big Christmas tree at The Eureka Inn. I just went searching for photos of this historic old hotel and found the best variety on this site that has the property listed for sale. Hopefully it isn't really still for sale, as the current owner is relatively new. It's really not even back up and operating yet. But LOTS of people were happy and came out in support of the tree being put up. Everyone brought decorations so it isn't the smart, themed tree of years past, but it offers nostalgia and hope just the same.
Now here's the funny coincidence for the day. I just sat down to think up something for today's post (since I in no way have my holiday act together yet)...thought to check December 11 from five years ago and found this picture in this post
Another rare photo with me in it! And that still very sweet boy. :-)
Wishing you and yours a happy and joyous festive season. I am trying to get my act together too- I have got a good start on decorating the house- We will decorate the tree next weekend.
Warmest regards,
Anna
