I've been blogging for over 5 years now and I'm convinced the main thing I'd be remembered for if I were to disappear tomorrow would be the roman blind tutorial I posted almost two years ago. To this day I get emails thanking me for that. Makes one feel good to be able to help others, doesn't it? I'm in the slow progress of redecorating the guest room. Again. Hey, it's cheaper than moving and I apparently need a routine change. As soon as I saw the previews for Lecien's latest Flower Sugar additions I knew I wanted to use some of it on the windows. FatQuarterShop notified me the day they received it and I got mine right away. After spending a couple of weeks down south dealing with the family stuff I could hardly wait to get busy!
This room continues to be somewhat of an homage to my paternal grandmother, Mary. I am so fortunate to have several of her old hats and purses and gloves.
I love this bright and happy fabric, don't you?
I won't be able to show completed room pics for quite a while, as the finishing touch will be the yoyo quilt that is still in progress. Hoping to be done by the end of this year!
I have the exact same vanity! Mine belonged to my great grandmother. I love it!

Jen,
I remembered the post with the ribbon "string holder," but somehow the whole Yo-Yo quilt escaped me. Oh, my! I've got to make one like this. You are a genius. I think I'll do one too if you don't mind. Thinking of you!

Very pretty. You sure don't let any moss grow on you. 'Gitterdone!'
