I thought some of you would like to see Kadence's quilt all finished and on her new big-girl bed.
This is the first time she's ever had a room all by herself, and she seems pretty pleased. She and her mom have pinked it out real good. ;-)
I suggested that it may be better just hanging on the wall above her. On this quilt I did all the machine stitching "in the ditch". How I've sewn all these years without a walking foot, without even knowing what one did, boggles my mind. WOW that made all the difference in the machine quilting!! Was almost a pleasure. I called the local Bernina dealer and he wanted $130 for a gosh darned foot! Picked my jaw up off the floor, hopped on ebay and found one "Not made by Bernina but made for Bernina" and got it for $40. And it works absolutely fine. whew!
We were having a hard time finding warm pj's for miss Madison. All the Spring stuff is out now and you know we live in the land of 55 degrees year-round. So I bought some clearance long sleeved t-shirts at The Children's Place (they ran between $2.50 and $4.99 on sale) and came home and matched them to the flannel's I have stockpiled from when it was $2.50/yd on sale at JoAnn's. Only needed half a yard each and maybe half and hour's time for the pants, so we ended up with several soft, warm, cute and cheap pajama sets. Here she is fresh from a bath modeling last night's pair.
The little owl on the top was easy to do. Ironed on some Heat 'n Bond, carefully cut the owl out, then pressed it on. I LOVE that owl flannel. I think I'll make some sets for sale out of it.
Be back soon with my One World One Heart giveaway announcement. I'm excited about it!
The girls are adorable. So big. Can't believe it. Kadence's quilt looks great on her bed and it BELONGS on the bed not the wall. Love those jammies. That would be a great thing to sell.

Oh look at all that cuteness in one post. They are growing too fast.
Beautiful quilt and I have to add Kadence has great taste in clothes. :) Taylor's room is definitely not pink. Just doesn't suit her personality.
The PJs are just darling. I love those owls. She has the prettiest blue eyes. I'm sure they'll break many hearts.
