Do you remember back in August when I got all 64 fat quarters that Heather Bailey's MIL was offering on ebay? (the links I provided in that post indicate these fabric groups are still being offered!) First I just wanted to stare at it all for a while.
Then I put together some yo-yo kits to sell on etsy
Then I cut a couple thousand more 4 inch circles to add to the fullsize bedcover that I will have done by this time next year
Which finally left me with about a 4 inch by 27 inch strip of each. So I made a strip quilt!
I went a little off-kilter with the strips, so after trimming it square it ended up measuring 40 x 58 inches. Certainly big enough for a couple of kids on the couch. I sure would like to be a good freemotion machine quilter, but in my attempts to git'rdone in 45 minutes or less my stitches end up being,well...not very good.
Probably while I'm not so good at it I oughta stop using white on the backs, huh? So, all in all, it's not my best craftsmanship but the fabrics sure are pretty together!
Today is my 300th post and just for fun I thought I would give this quilt away. I really enjoyed working with the fabrics, I got more sewing practice in on it, but we've got a lot of quilts around here and I'm thinking someone out there needs this more than I do. Leave a comment here and I'll figure out how to do that random generator number picker thing next Friday (the 23rd) and draw someone's name. Maybe yours!
So generous of you! Thank you.

Oh, I love it, and I'd love the chance to win. I say not to worry about all the little quirks - they're what make a handmade quilt 'real'.
Congratulations on the big 300!!
