The last house we went to, where I was excitedly buying those books and chairs and my little pony house and butterfly tray and what-all else...they had theee most perfect teacup and saucer. I'm not normally a teacup and saucer person, but this one just had to come home with me. Here, I'll show you;
SWEET! And only 2 bucks! So...I think I might've been in a hurry to drive off before they changed their minds, because I up and left the teacup there! As soon as I got home (a 20 minute drive) I realized I didn't have it and frantically called Karen, "You have to go back and get my happy birthday teacup! You just haaaave to! I neeeed it!" Well, long story short, she finally tracked the right people down to the right house (good memory!) and they had actually held it back for me and after a fair amount of rigamaroll, Karen ended up with it and then, LIKE THE DEAR THAT SHE IS, she brought it to me last night. THANK YOU KAREN! You're a peach. :-)
I had a fun afternoon today. Took a beading project to my friend Larissa's store...she's got a comfy little room behind the counter and we sit in there crafting and just pop up and say 'hi' when a customer comes in the front door. I thought to take my camera today and show you the biggest investment I've made so far in the STUDIO I HAVE TO HAVE.
I'll add a third shelf (hopefully Larissa still has some of this paint mixed up...or we'll just wing it) and it will hold my fabric. Oh I just see all my pretty stacks of fat quarters on those shelves and the bigger pieces in bins down below. Isn't it just perfect, mom? Usually Larissa's problem with friends and family purchases is them wanting to take the piece but taking forever to pay for it. For me the issue wasn't paying her, it's talking her into keeping it for at least a couple more months! I love it. We've about settled on building up over the garage. Surely it (the addition, not the cabinet) will add at least the cost amount to the value of the property...No matter, as I can't imagine ever moving out of this home and I NEED THE SPACE!
Well, I hesitate to share this next picture 'cause I found a new favorite artist and I want first crack at everything she ever lists again! lol. Okay, I'll share. I'm sure many of you artsy craftsy bloggers are already familiar with her. I'll post a link to her 'sold' items on etsy so you can see a good spectrum of her work. diane duda. LOVE HER! Here's the sweet and charming piece I was lucky enough to buy last week.
Etsy is just the BEST, isn't it? I can't imagine what we ever did without it!
Another etsy gal had contacted me wanting to do a trade for some wallpaper (no, not you again Jenny! lol) and she happened to have this one piece, listed in her sold items yet when I mentioned it she said she actually still had it. It was all rather confusing and frankly I was starting to accept that maybe I'd just donated $40 worth of wallpaper but happily I got this in the mail today.
It's painted on a piece of house or shed siding and is really very sweet. I'll either use it for the upcoming grandbaby or (more likely) the booth of baby stuff I'll have in operation at craft shows within the next six months (that's what I'm focusing on, anyway).
so there's my day in pretty pictures. :-) I'd say it was a fairly good one! Hope yours was, too.
Love the new furniture piece I see it lined beautifully with all of your fabric. It is super cool.

Hi Jen,
I absolutely love that birthday cup and saucer! Beautiful! Well done for getting it! Your vintage wallpaper is so georgous again I'm debating with myself weather to buy more or better not lol. I was lucky enough to get a big wallpaper example book with very pretty patternd papers last week, but it's from 2006, anyway I like it a lot! Congratulations on all the treasures you found recently and good luck with your swaps! I have just finished my crown & tiara swap project and think I'll start the "bit's and pieces collage" today with all my leftovers from the crown making. Have a beautiful & creativ Sunday Jen and an even better week ahead! Hugs Carol xox
