It all started with these shoes
Seriously--in almost 50 years I don't believe I've ever owned such a *cute* pair of shoes. Just had to have them. I think I hoped they'd pull me out of this funk I've been in for months. I mean, how can you not feel perky wearing such shoes? Well, never mind that I really don't have any clothes that would 'go' with these shoes, I don't have a purse either. THAT was easy enough to take care of however, so I came up with this
Pretty cute I think. Here they are together.
Well, that got me started back in with making purses...had seen one in a japanese craft mag that I wished I could make. Oh, I'll just show you:
Cool pic, huh? by the way, you can click on any of these pics and they'll open up bigger. What I like about this purse is the use of paint...well, my attempt at it was just another reminder that I SUCK at using paints, but here; I'll show you my results anyway:
Oh well, I tried!
Then yesterday I was blog-hopping, which isn't always a good thing for me to do because I lean toward crafty people's blogs and often get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff some people tend to get done, according to their blogs, anyway. Well, I came across this website, fell in love with their title graphics across the top (masthead?) and had to recreate it in a purse.
Now THIS I like, and will continue on to make a few more in a similar fashion.
For now though, I am in the midst of canning tuna. If you've never canned with a pressure cooker, you have no idea how difficult it is to maintain 11 pounds of pressure for 100 minutes. Every time I turn my back on it it goes down to 9 pounds or up to 13 pounds. Argh! No wonder I don't do it but every 2 or 3 years! Guess I'd better get back in there.
Oh Jen, these shoes are JUST THE CUTEST!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the bags you made to go with them and all the others, and NO you DO NOT suck at painting!!! Are you going to be putting these on your site for sale??? I am thinkin you could do a great business selling them!!! OH, meant to ask if you checked out the photo of me and Traci Bautista on my blog last week??? If you did, you would see I am wearing a lovely Jen Duncan original apron!!! Yeah man, I was looking "oh so cool"!!!
