I was thinking today that I'd previously shared a couple projects that I'd started, but never did come back and show the finished results. If you remember this quilt in the making that I shared a couple months ago you may like to see how I finally ended up putting it together. (shown here on a double bed)
I'm glad I took my time on it...I like it better than I usually like my own stuff. The back ended up being kinda 'spensive since I used $9/yd fabrics instead of a big ol' sheet like I used to do, but I had it all leftover and it does look kinda cool. I'll also show a close-up of the quote I found for it. I felt so lucky to find it!
I think I'm going to mail it down south to my mom to take to her quilter to put it together for me. The only one I'd ever used locally has recently moved. I mentioned to my mom, who literally has 50 finished quilts just stacked up in her guest room closet, that I'd probably sell this as I have no room it would 'go' in, and you'd have thought I told her I was going to murder my whole family after they go to sleep tonight! So I guess I'll be keepin it for awhile.
And if you remember my bathtub recently untiling itself (yikes!), here's how I managed to put it back together.
Hah! Who's a clever girl?! ;-D Guess I was feeling pretty creative that weekend because I went on to decorate the rest of it like this:
Well, that's about all the news that's fit to print that I can think of for now. Caleb's tugging on my shirttail asking if he can have 'graham crappers and milk' before bed. HAHA! Gosh I'm gonna miss him when he grows up. Hope you're having a good weekend!
