What's new?

Sept 28- Today was a good day!

I got to spend time with our new Kadence while her mom went to the dentist. Now; this is my kind of kid! Sat there looking cute while I continued to work on a scrapbook page. :-D She really is precious, and I can not emphasize enough how wonderful it feels to say "I get to" spend time with her (as much as I love Caleb, you must know what I mean).

Caleb had his second day at a real preschool today. So far he is getting excellent reports. Keeping our fingers crossed! Here's a couple of layouts I had fun doing over the past couple of days. Seems I'm back into scrapping (for now).

So far I've done an album per year for him, and I like to put a pic of he and I on the title page of each one. I just loved the quote I found. Fits us to a tee!

Isn't this pic of Caleb and his buddy Cameron sweet? They've been friends since Caleb was around 6 months old. Melissa nor I have ever stayed in one place long enough to witness two people growing up together like this, so it's really a wonderful thing to watch.

And the good news is; I get to go to the office and play in the art room by myself all day tomorrow, too! yay for me!

Not much new to tell at the moment. Just thought I'd put up this pic of our adorable new #1 girl (and her adorable mother)...took it the other day when she was 2 weeks old.

Poor Perky

My friend Karen seriously needs help. She's discovered the pet clothing line at Target recently, and her last remaining elderly cat Perky is bearing the brunt of it. Now; it's bad enough this cat was born to be long-haired and you shave her every other week on your day-of-beauty Saturdays, Karen... Perky looks more Cranky to me.

I'm taking Karen as a sub to my monthly bunco group tomorrow night (whooo-wee! Don't I have a much more exciting life!) and I'll watch closely to make sure she's paying attention to the game instead of daydreaming about what she's going to dress Perky in when she gets home :-D

Sept 7 - We've a new grandbaby!

Miss Kadence Marie graced us with her presence a couple days early. Here's a first pic. Can you believe she's only 3 hours old here? Must be all that hair that makes her look older. Anyway, we're all just completely in love with her already.

It was a pretty impressive delivery for a 'first-timer'. Kate went in to the hospital at 8 this morning and had the baby naturally at 3:30. I think her room's been filled with visitors ever since. Poor thing must be exhausted. She'd probably be mad at me for posting this pic, but I think her sister and grandparents will be happy to see her. What a woman!

Here's a pic of Jessie-the-new-dad. He's pretty adorable in his pride when retelling all the gruesome details of labor and delivery.

Last but not least; John and I as new grandparents once again!

 

No making fun of my pink striped glasses! I'm desperate to see and it's all they had at the dollar store!
