Small ABC's square quilt
These are the small (2" tall) letters mounted on 4.25" blocks. Alternately set with 4.25" foundation pieced blocks. Each block has a 3/4" border and overall square measurement of this quilt is 40 inches. As much as I loved my choices in the first large ABC quilt, this small quilt is a good study in things NOT to do. I goofed by using the flying cherries sashing strips and I also think the black and white harlequin is too bold for the cornerstones. Overall effect; too busy...almost jarring. But I put a lot of love and thought into the pieced blocks as they related to our grandkids and the life we share, plus I used a LOT of my vintage stash, so I'm keepin' it anyway! :-)
