Happy New Year!
We're slow starting it around here today...
...but have sure watched some provocative television so far. HBO On Demand currently has a documentary called Brave New Voices. A spoken word competition for High Schoolers. I don't think John or I had a dry eye during the entire show. Still haven't figured out which hit me the hardest--the hope it gives me that there are kids today who are capable of having these thoughts and emotions, or the sadness for the fact that all their words are true. Here's one that particularly grabbed me, although I'd recommend seeing and hearing every single one if possible.
