I recently called my mom to see if she or her quilting buddies had any of the Mrs. Nelson's 2nd grade handwriting fabric that came and went so quickly last year. It came in red, chalkboard green, and off white. I used the red in my recent ABC quilt. Look what I got in the mail today instead:
OH MY GOSH!! I audibly gasped when I saw this. Note on the selvage it is 13 years old. I just last week emailed the company (Fabric Traditions) to beg them to reprint this fabric. I have a piece of it in the cream color that was in the middle of a big bag of scraps from the thrift shop a couple years ago and it is one of my most prized pieces. I only use little strips of it here and there. And now I have more to hoard!! YAY!! THANKS MOM!!! by the way, I haven't heard back from the company. Anyone else want to give it a try?
Okay. I've made way too much of a job out of these two yo-yo kits, what with the packaging and the samples and losing the first round of photos, but I did just get them listed over on etsy. Might be cute little stocking stuffers for a sewer you love. or like a lot. :-)
